OCRV Center operates a 35,000 square foot facility at 23281 La Palma Ave in Yorba Linda. It includes downdraft paint capacity sized for a 45 foot Class A coach, a frame rack for raised rail chassis, heavy lift access, certified structural welding and indoor staging. All work is in shop only.

Most of what limits an RV repair is the building, not the crew. A shop with excellent technicians and a 30 foot booth cannot refinish a 43 foot coach in one pass, so they mask and spray it in sections, and in the raking afternoon light along the coast you will see every one of those transitions. A shop with four bays cannot leave a torn-down motorhome staged for eight weeks waiting on a cap, so they reassemble it partway or push it outside.

We bought this building specifically to remove those constraints, and the build-out took the better part of a year before the first coach came through. What follows is what is actually in it and, more usefully, why each piece of it changes what we can do for your vehicle.

One thing this building does not support is mobile work. Everything happens here at 23281 La Palma Ave. There is no roadside service and no dispatch. For San Clemente owners that means a drive of roughly 45 minutes each way, and we schedule around that rather than pretending it is not real.

The Building

Thirty-five thousand square feet under one roof, with clear height and door openings sized for full length Class A coaches and high roof commercial vehicles. Interior circulation is laid out so a vehicle can move from intake to teardown to structural to refinish without a three-point turn or blocking another job.

The single most valuable thing about the square footage is not production capacity, it is staging. A coach waiting on a discontinued cap can sit torn down, indoors, out of the marine air, for as long as it takes, without any pressure to make a compromise so we can free up a bay. That capacity is the difference between a shop that can afford patience and one that cannot.

Paint and Refinish Capacity

Booth capacity accommodates a 45 foot coach in a single setup. That is the whole reason this section exists. A full body refinish sprayed in one continuous session produces a uniform film build and no transition lines, and it is not achievable in a booth that requires the vehicle to be repositioned partway through.

Beyond size, the controllable variables are airflow, filtration, temperature and light. Downdraft airflow pulls overspray away from the panel rather than across it. Controlled cure temperature means clear cross-links properly instead of staying soft. And color evaluation happens under corrected lighting, because a match that looks perfect under shop fluorescents can be visibly off in San Clemente afternoon sun.

Frame, Structural and Lift Equipment

Structural work needs three things: a way to hold the vehicle, a way to pull it, and a way to know when you are done. The frame rack here is rated for raised rail motorhome chassis and medium duty truck frames, with anchoring points and pulling towers positioned for vehicles far longer than the automotive equipment most shops own.

Measurement is the part that separates real structural repair from guessing. Geometry is measured against factory specification before correction, during correction and after, and the records go into your file. A frame that looks straight and measures twelve millimeters out will produce tire wear, tracking pull and slide misalignment for the rest of the vehicle life, and nobody will ever connect it back to the repair.

Welding and Fabrication

Certified structural welding on steel and aluminum, with documented procedure and photographs on every structural joint. That documentation is not bureaucracy. On a trailer frame in commercial service, or a coach that will eventually be resold, a written record of how a structural repair was performed is worth real money and occasionally settles a dispute.

Fabrication is what makes vintage and out-of-production work possible at all. When a part does not exist, and on anything more than fifteen years old that is common, the alternative to fabrication is an indefinite salvage hunt. We form panels, build brackets, replicate compound curves and manufacture compartment doors in house. The 1959 Flxible currently in the back is entirely fabricated work.

Certified structural welding
Steel and aluminum, MIG and TIG, with joint preparation and geometry verified before and after.
Documented procedure
Written procedure and photographs on every structural weld, retained in your file and handed over at delivery.
Panel and part fabrication
Compound curves, compartment doors, brackets and mounts formed in house when a part is discontinued.
Composite and lamination work
Fiberglass layup, sidewall section bonding and delamination re-bonding with substrate condition verified.

Systems, Diagnostics and Testing

The systems side of the building holds scan and programming platforms, ADAS calibration targets and space to set them up correctly, load banks for battery and generator testing, and a water test bay. ADAS calibration in particular needs floor area and a level, controlled surface, which is why a lot of shops sublet it.

The water test bay is the least glamorous equipment here and arguably the most important. Every vehicle that had a roof or sidewall penetration disturbed gets water tested at reassembly and again at final inspection. Water intrusion is the number one cause of long-term RV loss, and a repair that is not water tested is a repair that has not actually been finished.

Scan and programming platforms
Multi-brand chassis and house system diagnostics, module programming and fault tracing. Billed at $285 per hour.
ADAS calibration
Target setup with the floor area and level surface that accurate camera and radar calibration requires.
Load bank testing
Battery banks and generators tested under actual load rather than at rest, which is where most faults are found.
Water test bay
Every disturbed penetration tested at reassembly and again at final inspection.
LP pressure testing
Propane systems pressure tested any time a line or appliance connection is disturbed.

Why We Are In-Shop Only

We get asked about mobile service constantly and the answer is always no. Not because it is inconvenient for us, but because almost nothing on this page travels. You cannot bring a frame rack to a storage yard. You cannot color match under a carport. You cannot water test in a driveway or calibrate ADAS on uneven asphalt.

Mobile RV service has a legitimate role, and it is not the role owners usually hope for. It is good for a failed water pump, a bad thermostat, a leaking fitting you can reach. It is not capable of diagnosing why a slide binds intermittently, and it is definitively not capable of structural or refinish work. When a mobile technician tells you a room needs a motor, that assessment was made without pulling the room.

For San Clemente owners the practical consequence is a drive of about 45 minutes each way on the I-5 or the SR-73. We schedule around it: firm intake dates, drop-off appointments rather than open queues, and consolidated work so you are not making the trip four times for four small items.

No mobile service

Questions We Get Asked

Can your paint booth fit a 45 foot motorhome?

Yes. Booth capacity here accommodates a full length Class A in a single setup, which means the coach is refinished in one continuous session rather than masked and sprayed in sections. Sectional spraying produces visible transitions and uneven film build, and along the coast in raking afternoon light you will see them.

Do you have a frame rack for motorhomes?

Yes, rated for raised rail motorhome chassis and medium duty truck frames, with multi-tower pulling capability. More importantly we measure. Geometry is recorded against factory specification before, during and after correction, and those records go into your file and are handed to you at delivery.

Do you offer mobile RV repair or come to my location?

No. All work is performed in shop at 23281 La Palma Ave in Yorba Linda. There is no mobile service and no roadside service. Frame correction, controlled refinish, water testing and ADAS calibration cannot be done in a driveway or a storage yard, and those are the operations that determine whether a repair holds.

What if my RV is not drivable?

Have it towed to the shop. We take delivery of non-drivable vehicles during posted hours and we can advise on transport for oversized coaches. Once it is here, teardown can begin immediately, which matters because the sooner the structure is exposed the sooner an accurate number reaches your adjuster.

Is my RV stored indoors while it is being repaired?

Yes for anything torn down or in process. That is the practical benefit of 35,000 square feet. A coach waiting weeks on a discontinued cap sits inside, staged, out of marine air, rather than parked in a lot with an open sidewall. Completed vehicles awaiting pickup may be staged outside briefly.

Can you calibrate ADAS systems after a repair?

Yes. We have the scan platforms, calibration targets and, just as importantly, the level floor area that accurate camera and radar calibration requires. ADAS scan and recalibration runs $285 to $1,800 depending on the system count and is billed at the diagnostic rate of $285 per hour.
